No quilting going on here. Working on getting the guest room set up for when my 2 grandsons will be here! Not that they care what it looks like, but I want to get it done. One more thing I can mark off of my list!

Finally..........a pic of a finished project!

I have finished my batik cobblestone and it is hanging in the living room. Here is a pic for anyone who wants to see. It's not the best pic, but you will get the idea! Two quilty friends, Marilyn and Karen, shared their batik scraps with me and this is what I came up with. It is so colorful and happy! So glad to have a finished project done, except for the label, but I will get it ready to stitch on. Just couldn't wait to hang it up!

Knoxville Show and giveaway!

The Knoxville show was very nice. I was there for 5 hours checking out the vendors and looking at the quilts. I am exhausted and my feet are killing me, but it was a great show and I am so glad I was able to go.
Check out the new pincushion pattern over at Moda Bake Shop by Julie. They are large pincushions and are really cool. I love pincushions so this pattern is a must to try. Here is the site: www.modabakeshop.com

AQS --- Knoxville

Tomorrow begins the AQS quilt show in Knoxville. I don't live far, and I have been looking forward to going since I found it that it would be in Knoxville instead of Nashville.
I love looking at all the quilts and enjoy visiting the vendors to see all the new things that are out!
Anyone else I know that is going?

Go over to www.barbscreations.blogspot.com for a great Christmas in July giveaway!

Not having such a great week. Had some flooding in the basement last night. DH is out of town, of course, and I strained my back while using the wet vacuum. I was able to spend a little time in the sewing room and quilted a Christmas table topper that I started last August!!!!! I have several more small items to quilt and bind. Would really like to get these done soon. Christmas is less than 6 mo. away! Yikes!
